
Born in Brazil, Sergio was captivated by American comics and attended the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon Graphics in Dover, New Jersey. His first work was the Adaptation HP Lovecraft story Dagon and then he went to work for Marvel, illustrating such books as Daredevil, Spider-Man, Spider-Girl, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, and The Avengers. At DC, he worked on such favorites as Batman, Green Lantern, Superman, Wonder-Woman, Wildcat, Deathstroke, Azrael, and many others. He also drew The Eisner Nominated miniseries Lone Ranger. Sergio taught Art at the Kubert School for 7 years. He continues to teach Narrative Art at their online courses. He continued working for other publishers like Dark Horse, Image, Todd McFarlane Spawn, Crossgen, Disney, Kingstone Media, and Focus on the Family. His World Bestseller work has been The Action Bible Comic for David C Cook, which He continues to work on extending their Action Bible brand.
