Görkem Demir is a Turkish cover artist with Armenian roots, living in Ankara, Turkey. Görkem started drawing lead by his mother’s hand when he was a toddler. He uses a wide range of tools in his art, stating that every new medium/utensil takes him on a new adventure. Recently He has been using watercolor, airbrush and marker. His favorite character to work on is Venom, as (in his words) “Superheroes don’t have to be kind-hearted all the time.” He is influenced by H.R. Giger, Ben Oliver and Gabrielle Del-Otto for their drawing technique and range of materials. His first published work were two covers of Venom Home Coming Turkish TPB for Marvel’s distributor in Turkey Marmara Chizgi.
